What is Retail Without Borders?

What is the format of Retail Without Borders?

Retail Without Borders is a one day conference and exhibition. The day is split into four parts, each separated by a networking break. Throughout the day there is a combination of keynote presentations, panel sessions by retailers and marketplaces, marketplace pitch sessions and roundtable discussions.

Is there time for networking?

Retail Without Borders has plenty of time for networking. We have factored in three networking breaks throughout the day as well as opportunity to network during registration and throughout the post conference drinks reception.

Can I arrange one-to-one meetings with marketplaces?

If you are interested in meeting with a marketplace one-on-one, please get in touch with a member of our team who would be delighted to set up meetings for you either during the event or on one of the days around the event.

Where is Retail Without Borders held and how do I get to the venue?

Retail Without Borders will be held at QEII Centre, Broad Sanctuary, Westminster, London, SW1P 3EE

The venue is highly accessible via public transport with the closest tubes stops being Westminster (District & Jubilee) and St James Park (District). The QEII Centre is also within walking distance of Charing Cross, Victoria and Waterloo stations.

Buses 11, 24, 53, 77a and 88 all stop at Parliament Square. The QEII Centre is just to the west of the square, directly opposite Westminster Abbey.

Is there any on site parking?

Car parking spaces around the venue are limited and there is no availability on site. To find parking or to guarantee a space, please click here.

How do I buy tickets to attend Retail Without Borders?

To purchase tickets for Retail Without Borders, visit our attend page where you will be able to select the type and number of tickets you wish to purchase. This will then take you through to our Eventbrite page where you will be able to complete your order by filling in the online form.

How do I use a discount code to purchase my ticket?

If you have been given a discount code for Retail Without Borders, please make sure you enter your code in the ‘promotional code’ box in the top right corner of the form before selecting your tickets. The discount will automatically be deducted from the price of the ticket, and you can continue with your purchase.

Can I bring people who have not already purchased tickets?

Retail Without Borders is a ticketed event. If you wish to bring a colleague or peer with you to the event then need to register and purchase a ticket online. All delegate passes will be checked on entry.

Can I transfer or refund my ticket?

Once you have purchased a ticket for Retail Without Borders we do not accept refunds, so please make sure you are able to attend the event before purchasing. However, if you are unable to make the event but would like a colleague or peer to go in your place you can request a ticket transfer by getting in touch with one of our team – please visit the contact page for more details.

Where to I go to pick up my delegate pass on the day?

On the morning of Retail Without Borders, you will need to pick up your delegate pass from our reception desk in the foyer of the QEII Centre – you will need this pass before you will be able to enter the event.

Since there might be a number of events going on on the day, look out for the Retail Without Borders signs above the desk. The team will be wearing purple lanyards, and will register you before providing you with your delegate pass.

Where can I get hold of the agenda for Retail Without Borders?

You can find the Retail Without Borders agenda on our site here – please note the agenda is subject to change until the final weeks before the event. On the day of the event, you will also be given a delegate bag, which will include a conference programme where you will find a copy of the final agenda.

Are refreshments provided at Retail Without Borders and do you cater for dietary requirements?

Refreshments are provided throughout the day at Retail Without Borders. You will be welcomed with tea, coffee and breakfast upon arrival; there will be a further two tea and coffee breaks throughout the day (one mid-morning and the other mid-afternoon); a full lunch is provided; and you are invited to join us for post conference drinks and nibbles.

We do our best to cater for all dietary requirements and provide a range of food and drink options throughout the day. However, if you do have a specific requirement, please make a note of this when you purchase your ticket or get in touch with one of the team directly. On the day, the catering staff will put aside your requested refreshments to avoid it being consumed by another delegate, so please ask them directly to retrieve it for you.

Is there somewhere I can securely leave my belongings at Retail Without Borders?

The is a fully attended cloakroom at Retail Without Borders on the ground floor of the QEII Centre. You can leave coats, scarf, overnight bags etc. in this space, however the centre takes no liability for loss of articles. Please ask a member of the reception team for directions on the day.

Is there a dress code for Retail Without Borders?

There is no formal dress code for Retail Without Borders, although most delegates tend to show up in business casual.

Do I have to attend Retail Without Borders all day?

Retail Without Borders is a full day conference and in order to get the best out of the event we recommend attending for the full day. However, we understand that you are busy, so if there are specific sessions you want to drop into throughout the day you are more than welcome to join at any point.

How can I get hold of presentation material after the conference has taken place?

All presentation materials will be made available with a few days post event. You will be invited to complete a short survey to provide feedback on the event, and once this has been completed you will be sent the materials directly.

Where can I stay around the area?

What materials do I need to provide as a speaker?

If you are speaking at Retail Without Borders you will be sent a pack of information outlining all the key information for the day, including what materials to provide. This would include a speaker profile, company profile, speaker photo, company logo and any presentation materials you will be using. We request that you send any profiles, photos or logos over straight away, so that they can be published on our conference website. Typically we would ask for any presentation materials to be submitted at least a week before the event to allow the AV technicians time to ensure all presentations are properly formatted and videos play smoothly.

Please note we usually have around 40 speakers per event, so prompt submission is greatly appreciated to ensure we have time to check all materials.

What do I do if I need to deliver something to the conference venue?

If you are a sponsor or marketplace and want to deliver materials to the QEII Centre, you will need to send the items to the loading bay between 08.00 – 17.00, Monday to Friday. All deliveries must be clearly labelled with the details below:
